In our everyday lives, we suddenly realize the importance of seemingly small unimportant things. Sometimes we know everything is fine, we know that everything is going to be all right, but we still need our conviction to be solid. This is a poem recognizing how the small unthinking assurance to people around us are all we need sometimes to keep heart.
As I rise atop the rolling crests
I shine as the sun’s glare hits my face
and I am aglow.
I feel you and your flow underneath
and I am safe in your turbulent sheath
I feel safe.
Once I just need to feel your face
to reassure me in my worldly haste
You are always present.
Words are not powerful enough
meaning are like hidden leaves on the bough
I just need to see.
